| 11/11/2005 DETROIT — Honda Motor has recalled about 25,000 Civics to fix or replace accelerator pedals that could come loose and jam the throttle, according to a notice posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Web site. Most of the 25,298 vehicles under recall in the United States have not been sold, according to Honda. There have been no crashes or injuries linked to the problem. NHTSA says Honda also has begun recalling a few hundred of its 2006 Acura TL and Honda Accord models to tighten bolts that attach airbag crash sensors to the fronts of cars. Loose sensors could cause airbags to deploy too late or not at all. What this means to you: If you have a 2006 Honda Civic, it's a good idea to have your dealer take a look at it.
