| 07/10/2006 Honda India aiming to sell 12,000 Civics in first year Hondaââ¬â¢s Indian division Honda Siel Cars India recently launched the awesome Honda Civic sedan in the Indian market and in the first five working days of the launch, the company has already booked as many as 1,500 units of the new car model. Honda said in a statement that they have received positive feedback from the interested prospective customers and they are hopeful that the model would be huge success in the Indian market. Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) director, sales The initial response is very positive and we expect to sell at least 10,000 to 12,000 units of Honda Civic in the first year.ââ¬Â The company is giving a priority to their existing customer base and is targeting buyers who want to upgrade from their Honda City model. And as part of their promotional plan for the Indian market, they aim to maximize the test drive. The company already has a strong and loyal customer base of over 160,000 in India and with the launch of Civic; it should further grow to new heights in the coming years. Honda launched the popular Civic model in the Indian market in two variants. The manual transmission variant costs Rs 10.78 lakh (ex-showroom) in Bangalore while the automatic version is priced at Rs 11.48 lakh. TechWhack |
